Which facelift techniques do you offer?
Dr. Ahn offers the full facelift, the lower facelift, the mini lift and the neck lift. For both the mini and the lower lift he works in the deep plane — the gold standard — which raises the jowls without placing tension on the skin.
How much downtime should I plan for?
Set aside roughly two weeks of social downtime. The first week is spent resting at home with the head raised, and by about day ten most patients are out in public with a little make-up. Allow a good three to four weeks before an event.
How long until the results settle?
Most of the bruising has cleared by around ten days, and two to three weeks in you will be comfortable in public again with a little make-up. From there the result keeps improving, refining steadily right through to a year after surgery.
Are the scars going to be noticeable?
Incisions are placed to disappear into natural creases and behind the tragus, the small piece of cartilage in front of the ear canal. Since the deep plane technique leaves no tension on the skin edges, the scars are very hard to find.
